This was the first ever purchase on my quest for cruelty free products.
OGX Kukai Oil $9.99 CVS / $5.99 Bed, Bath & Beyond
Tesco also sell OGX beauty pure and simple hair care products. The range includes shampoos, conditioners, hair masks and serums.
Standing in CVS in San Diego killing time, I began my search for not tested on
animals products. On first impression, I
am completely overwhelmed with this brand. They have what appears at this glance
to be a million products with different oils all claiming to do the
same or very similar thing. I simply want a de-frizz and something nice for the dry
ends of my hair. I really don't know which product to go with so in
the end I pick the promising "Anti Frizz, Hydrating Oil"
It starts with a sniff test. Smells like coconuts. It's runny in the bottle like water and doesn't appear to be like a oil so I'm in. I don't want greasy hair just editorial worthy, not too much to ask.
I am eager as with all first timers to see what this is about and as I'm going out tonight with my husband's co-workers this has to work like you just stepped out of a salon (yes I sang that as I typed it) or the review will be scathing.
As stated before my hair ends are dry so I've taken to letting the locks air dry
more than blow dry. I have no evidence as to whether my theory will work but who cares. I towel dry my hair and read the instructions. "Spray evenly all over clean damp hair and style as usual" I don't actually spray evenly, I spray known to frizz up areas and let air dry. Picture results here. I am ECSTATIC over this product and very proud of my random selection. My hair dries really soft and smells lovely. There is no heavy greasy look or feel.
The next morning my hair is still soft and light. I had a next morning pic but the beer belly of the night before decided to photobomb and "ain't nobody got time for that". This product was definitely worth the $10. I have used this spray each time I have washed my hair over the past 3 weeks and I am very impressed. I will definitely try the other products from OGX beauty pure and simple. A thumbs up for not testing on animals and for doing what it says it would!
Range is available in Tesco, Boots, CVS, Target and other retailers.
