First things first: I would like a new face please. Derma e Microdermabrasion Scrub with Dead Sea Salt is fantastic. This product on my skin was nothing short of awesome. It comes in a pretty glass jar and smells citrussy. I placed a tiny spot of the creamy scrub (about half the size of the tip of my little finger) onto my wet face. No soapy suds were formed. Initially I used a face brush but I couldn't feel if it was working so I began to massage the scrub in with my hands. Using the brush was fine I simply didn't know if it was doing anything but when I massaged with my finger tips in circular upwards movements it was sore, very sore actually but I felt like I was getting somewhere. I didn't press hard, just applied a normal amount of pressure. The circular motion was funny, it dawned on me in that moment I seemed to have remembered every beauty article I've ever read declaring that upward movements with gentle circles on the face avoiding the delicate under eye area are best. Once I'd had enough, I rinsed with water and patted dry with a towel.
I was amazed, shocked even. I know that word is thrown about all too often and I am a culprit for said overuse but really I was. With the Dead Sea salt I had brought my face back to life. The crows feet fine lines at my eyes that are normally anything but blurred were much less defined and my most hated creasey & crevicey forehead (for those who know me know this gets to me) also didn't look like it's usual hilly landscape ready for the intrepid hiker. They too were less prominent. The blackheads on my nose and chin appear to have been washed away. I looked fresh faced and glowey not the usual grey-ey. This product certainly works and is worth it.
I followed the scrub with the "Evenly Radiant Brightening Day Creme SPF 15 with Vitamin C and Clear Zinc Oxide", now that's a mouthful moisturiser. This cream has no scent, however I thought it smelled a little funny. It is quite thick in consistency but felt very good and nourishing going on. It dried in with no greasiness, my skin felt and looked smooth. I really like this product too. My wish for it though is that the SPF was higher to wear everyday under makeup.
And last but not least for this review is the "Vitamin E Intensive Therapy Body Lotion". I used this post shower and shave, my legs are scaly dry so this body lotion had it's work cut out for it. Again as with the other Derma e products reviewed I only needed a small amount to cover my supermodel, gazelle like pins. A little goes a long way and it is fragrance free. It goes on very white and needs a little rubbing in to get absorbed, with that said it dries in quickly and I felt very moisturised and not at all slimey. Another good product.
Overall I am extremely inspired by Derma e. I wish all brands chose the cruelty free road. Each of the products reviewed impressed me and I will use over and over again. My favourite by far being the microdermabrasion scrub. I'm going to try the "Evenly Radiant Brightening Cleanser with Vitamin C" and the "Hydrating Night Creme With Hyaluronic Acid" tonight. I might look in the mirror tomorrow and have a money maker after all. Would I recommend Derma e to a friend? The answer is a definite "YES", without hesitation.
